School Transport in Peterborough

Where required, Ammar Cabs can provide a passenger assistant (PA) for school journeys, with support arrangements agreed around the pupil’s needs and contract requirements.
Regular school runs and school contracts
We arrange pre-booked journeys between home and school, including morning collections, afternoon returns and agreed changes to the school day. Enquire about an individual pupil’s journey, shared transport or a school or council contract.
Collection points, school times, return journeys and term dates are agreed as part of the booking. One-way and return arrangements can be discussed; a return journey is included only when agreed.
Mainstream school transport
Regular journeys to primary and secondary schools, colleges and other education settings, with arrangements built around the agreed timetable.
SEND transport enquiries
For children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, we discuss individual travel needs with the responsible parent, school or commissioning authority before accepting the journey.
Planning the right support
Let us know about mobility requirements, seating, communication needs or any agreed travel or safeguarding plan. Where a passenger assistant or escort is required, their role and provision must be agreed before transport starts. Please discuss these details directly with our team.
Wheelchair accessible vehicles and larger vehicles are subject to suitability and availability. We work to provide a familiar routine where possible; a specific driver or vehicle cannot be guaranteed for every journey.
Licensed drivers and clear communication
Our private hire drivers are licensed and DBS-checked. For school and council contracts, the required driver and passenger-assistant checks and any contract-specific conditions must be confirmed for the assignment.
